About
Kevin “TK” Laughton is the artist behind TKserenity and co-owner of Opal Rose Tattoo in Bel Air, Maryland, which he opened with fellow co-owner Nick Kaufman in Summer 2026. Born and raised in Baltimore, he has spent more than 14 years transforming personal stories, meaningful ideas, and creative visions into custom tattoos.
Kevin specializes in black-and-grey realism, high-contrast portraiture, dark surreal imagery, and large-scale custom work. His artistic range also includes animal portraits, full-color realism, traditional tattooing, and a variety of other styles. No matter the subject or style, every piece is created with intention and tailored to the person wearing it.
His process begins with listening. Kevin takes the time to understand each client’s vision, refine the concept, and develop a composition that works naturally with the body while making a lasting visual impact. From the initial idea through the final tattoo, he combines technical precision, thoughtful design, and a collaborative approach to create artwork that feels personal.
Kevin is grateful to every client who trusts him with their story and gives him the opportunity to bring something meaningful to life. He approaches each tattoo with honesty, professionalism, respect for the craft, and a commitment to delivering work that clients can be proud to wear.
